Newag S.A., together with its subsidiaries, produces and sells railway locomotives and rolling stock in Poland and internationally. The company offers electric and diesel passenger vehicles and locomotives; metro and tram vehicles; electric, diesel, and hybrid multiple units; steering systems; electric, combustion, and two-wheel drive traction products; impulse platforms; and other products and services. It is also involved in the repair and maintenance of machinery and other transport equipment; mechanical processing of metal components; and leasing, rental, repair, and modernization services for railway rolling stock. The company was formerly known as Zaklady Naprawcze Taboru Kolejowego w Nowym Saczu and changed its name to Newag S.A. in 2005. Newag S.A. was founded in 1876 and is headquartered in Nowy Sacz, Poland.
